This position is unique in the sense that it does not offer regular weekly work. It is ideal for someone who has the skills required for the job who is looking for a fun and infrequent side gig. The Sample Stitcher works directly with the owner.

What work needs to be done?
We're looking for a skilled stitcher who has worked in production environments and can help with sample sewing as needed. This might be a line of aprons in a new fabric one month, and totally different home goods a few months later. We typically work with mid-weight organic cotton fabrics.

Job details & Compensation
GDS is located in West Oakland. This job offers super flexible hours with there being no work some weeks and up to 10 hours per week when we are working on something new. Wage ranges from $18-25 depending on skill level.
